Why ASD?

Beyond the boundaries of other technologies
Point-type smoke detectors: Smoke must enter the measuring chamber by convection. It is not sufficient that the smoke reaches the detector. Aspirating smoke detectors: Smoke is actively aspirated. Particularly problematic: Heat cushions under the ceiling make it difficult / prevent the smoke from reaching the point-type smoke detector.

Multiplied sensitivity thanks to the cumulative effect

    Technological effort must be expended
    in each individual detector.
  • Aspirating smoke detectors:
    High technological effort possible
    at a central location (e.g., fire pattern
